Greenwell Springs, Louisiana – DEMCO reports 96 percent of all members are back in service. In the past twenty-four hours, service has been restored to 2,234 members, and remaining outages total 4206.

Outages by Parish: Ascension, 203; E. Baton Rouge, 6; E. Feliciana, 18; Livingston, 3,351; St. Helena, 313; Tangipahoa, 313; W. Feliciana, 2.

“Restoration for the last 4 percent can be slow-going, due to the amount of manpower and equipment required to bring up smaller taps in very rural areas,” says David Latona, vice president of marketing and member services. “These guys are getting in the swamps and bayous – on foot, by boat, barge or pontoon – and they are giving it their all.”
