Greenwell Springs, Louisiana – DEMCO crews headed out to Tri-County Electric Cooperative in Madison, FL on August 31st to assist in Hurricane Idalia restoration.
When crews arrived at the 20,003-member cooperative, 19,838 were out of power.
An update from September 7 at 10:00PM shows 95 percent restored with 698 meters out.
DEMCO is part of 1,600 personnel actively working across the TCEC system.
Crews are hard at work and will continue to make great progress Thursday and Friday. The majority of the remaining without power are in areas with catastrophic damage or are not able to safely receive electricity.
