Livingston: Flood waters are beginning to recede allowing access to crews to repair system infrastructure in rural areas. Transmission crews are working on the transmission between LIGO and Watson, and should have the LIGO station and LIGO plant back on within the next 24 hours. Distribution repairs in the town of Livingston all the way to EPIC pipe are in progress.
In lower Livingston, in the areas of Killian and Springfield, crews are working on main infrastructure to bring up police dept., businesses/stores. Continued work in the Walker area and an estimated time of restoration at the substation level is 9/5-9/7.
Three substations remain out in Livingston parish:
- LIGO Substation transmission repairs are expected within twenty-four hours. Members in the Town of Livingston, Killian and part of Satsuma are affected; local restoration is projected at two to three days following transmission restoration.

St. Helena – 5251 meters, 4164 out (20.7% energized)
Pine Grove residential substation is out; 2 industrial-load substations are out
- The Pine Grove substation and the entire east side of St. Helena is devastated. It will take 2-3 weeks to repair and restore the transmission infrastructure.
- DEMCO transmission is energized from Grangeville to Greensburg. We have portions of Grangeville, Darlington, and Greensburg Stations energized. There are more crews coming in every day, which is certainly expediting the restoration process. There is heavy damage to Greensburg East. We have completed right of way clearing from Greensburg to Easleyville, and have several crews working their way north on Hwy 43. The right of way has mostly been cleared on the transmission from Greensburg to Pine Grove, other than a portion that we will have to build a primitive road to for access. We will have to completely rebuild several spans of line between Hwy 43 to Hwy 1045 which crosses the Tickfaw river. This project will be time consuming.
Tangipahoa – 626 meters, 620 out (1% energized)
- Outages in this area will take 3-4 weeks to restore
- Some of the information provided in the St. Helena parish update overlap into this parish
West Feliciana – 4527 meters, 0 out (100% energized)
