Greenwell Springs, Louisiana – DEMCO reports 82 percent meter-restoration, with remaining outages of 20240. Estimated times of restoration listed may change as new information or challenges arise.
Outages by Parish: Ascension parish - 15086 meters, 3296 out (78% energized); East Baton Rouge –35552 meters, 308 out (99% energized); East Feliciana – 6062 meters, 411 out (93% energized); Livingston parish - 45355 meters, 12860 out (71% energized) St. Helena – 5251 meters, 2779 out (47% energized); Tangipahoa – 626 meters, 585 out (7% energized); West Feliciana – 4527 meters (100% energized)

Ascension: Damage assessment continues as crews continue to clear and cut rights of way to prepare a path for restoration. Most three-phase main lines have been assessed: 430 broken poles in addition to transformers and lines. The vast majority of members on Harry Savoy Rd. will be restored on or before 9/12; in the Galvez on or before 9/15; in Summerfield on or before 9/16; on Greenfield Crossing, Stevens Rd., Redbud Rd. off of Airline Hwy, and Maurice Bourgeois on or before 9/18; and in St. Amant, Prairieville and Gonzales on or before 9/20.
East Baton Rouge: Areas expected to be restored today include Oak Place, Delores Dr., and Manchester; on Perkins Rd. on or before 9/10, on Huntstock Rd., Wood Acres, Henry O’Neal on or before 9/12, as well as in neighborhoods in the Central/Greenwell Springs area, on or before 9/12; and on Hwy 37 on or before 9/18.
East Feliciana: The Woodland area is 80% energized and should be complete on or before 9/16. Damage is primarily in hard to access areas that require off-road equipment. The vast majority of members in the Felixville area will be restored on or before 9/13; and in the Woodland area on or before 9/18.
Livingston: Damage is extensive and devastating. Broken poles total 430 and assessment continues as crews continue to clear and cut rights of way to prepare a path for restoration. The vast majority of members in the areas of Frost, Colyell, Satsuma Rd., Denham Springs, Springfield Rd. West and Hwy. 63 will be restored on or before 9/11; in Walker, Watson/Live Oak and Old River Rd. on or before 9/12; on Weiss Rd on or before 9/13, in the Head of Island area on or before 9/15; on Lower Rome Rd on or before 9/16; in Albany, Holden and Springfield on or before 9/17; in Killian, for Maurepas School and on Gum Swamp Rd. on or before 9/18; along Hwy. 449, Hwy. 1041 and Hwy 1036 on or before 9/29; on River Pines Rd on or before 9/30; and in Tiger Bluff and Three Rivers Island on or before 10/9. Due to extensive damage in the River Bend, Horse Bluff and La Trace areas, estimates are difficult to estimate at this time but it will be weeks.
St. Helena and Tangipahoa: The Pine Grove residential substation as well as two industrial-load substations remain out. The entire east side of St. Helena is devastated and transmission infrastructure requires rebuild. All three-phase main lines have been assessed - 384 broken poles. Crews continue to clear and cut rights of way to prepare a path for system rebuild. Making good progress on the transmission between Greensburg and Pine Grove, Easleyville and Kentwood areas, with repairs to most of the 3 phase main feeder lines. The repairs in the Chipola and Colemantown areas are well underway and remaining areas west of Greensburg and south of Darlington require extensive repairs. DEMCO transmission is energized from Grangeville to Greensburg. We have portions of Grangeville, Darlington, and Greensburg Stations energized. Severe and extensive damage to Greensburg east area that will take weeks to rebuild and restore. Crews are 75% complete on the transmission from Greensburg to Pine Grove; We will have to completely rebuild several spans of line between Hwy 43 to Hwy 1045 which crosses the Tickfaw River. This will be an extended weeks-long outage.
The vast majority of members in the Grangeville area will be restored on or before 9/12; in Chipola and Colemantown on or before 9/17; in, Easleyville, Kentwood, South of Darlington and Pine Grove on 9/22.
In Tangipahoa we expect to be at 50% completion by 9/21 and fully restored by 10/4. Crews continue to clear and cut rights of way to prepare a path for restoration. Some of the information provided in the St. Helena parish update overlap into this parish.
