Updates by Parish:

Ascension: Damage assessment continues as crews continue to clear and cut rights of way to prepare a path for restoration. Most three-phase main lines have been assessed: 430 broken poles in addition to transformers and lines. The vast majority of members on Harry Savoy Rd. will be restored on or before 9/12; in the Galvez area on or before 9/15; in Summerfield on or before 9/16; on Greenfield Crossing, Stevens Rd., Redbud Rd. off of Airline Hwy, and Maurice Bourgeois on or before 9/18; and in St. Amant, Prairieville and Gonzales on or before 9/20.

East Baton Rouge: Areas expected to be restored today in the Flannery area include Delores Dr. and Manchester; neighborhoods in the Central/Greenwell Springs area, on or before 9/12; and on Hwy 37 on or before 9/18.

East Feliciana: The Woodland area is 80% energized and should be complete on or before 9/16. Damage is primarily in hard to access areas that require off-road equipment. The vast majority of members in the Felixville area will be restored on or before 9/13; and in the Woodland area on or before 9/18.

Livingston: Crews are in the Denham Springs, Walker and Watson areas working to restore Oak Place, Hunstock Rd., Wood Acres, Henry O’Neal today. In the areas of Albany and Holden on or before 9/12. Many three-phase poles need repair going thru Holden north; 43 north of 442 crossroad has been restored. Areas near Hutchison Cemetary Rd., Hwy 43 north and Pea Ridge Rd. had extensive damage and restoration is estimated at 9/17. On Hwy. 43 going north the water well is restored and crews are working on Weiss Rd. going north. Any circuits with large taps are getting energized, but single taps to homes will take additional time.

St. Helena: The Pine Grove residential substation will likely be restored today. Two two industrial-load substations remain out. Severe and extensive damage to Greensburg east area will take weeks to rebuild and restore. The HillsdaleAmite area feeds out of the Greensburg Station. Crews are 85% complete on the transmission from Greensburg to Pine Grove which also serves for the feeder line for the Hillsdale area. System infrastructure will require rebuild across several spans of line between Hwy 43 and Hwy 441 on Hwy 1045 which crosses the Tickfaw River. A specialized off-road crew is scheduled to begin the rebuild of three-phase lines beginning 9/11. Right of way crews should complete all the main line clearing today, and construction crews are working on repairs. Restoration in these area is estimated on or before 10/6.

The vast majority of members in the Grangeville area will be restored on or before 9/12; in Chipola and Colemantown on or before 9/17; in, Easleyville, Kentwood, South of Darlington and Pine Grove on 9/22.

Tangipahoa: The circuit that provides service to Pumpkin Center received catastrophic damage from Hurricane Ida. The line structure for a bank of voltage regulators to the north side of I-12 is currently being repaired. The regulator platform line is down crossing the interstate (broken 55 ft. poles on each side), which requires a coordinated effort with DOTD and local authorities to facilitate shutting down I-12 to make repairs. After the interstate crossing is repaired, nearly every structure will have to be repaired or replaced for the remainder of the 4-mile trek across country to Pumpkin Center. A specialized off road right of way crew has been making its way south toward Pumpkin Center and is reaching 80% completion of the right of way reclamation process. We have a 22-man line crew with off road equipment that has been dispatched to the circuit working to make the needed repairs. Timeline estimation is difficult due to the challenging terrain and the issues that come along with it. Our track equipment must traverse the right of way, but due to high water and boggy soil conditions delays can amount to hours or days per instance, depending on the circumstances.
