Greenwell Springs, LA – DEMCO had the honor of sponsoring and serving lunch at a luncheon on May 25th, celebrating Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s 2025 Louisiana Young Heroes. Six exceptional high school students were recognized for their leadership, resilience, and service to their communities.
In addition to providing lunch for the students and their guests, DEMCO presented each honoree with a backpack as a small token of appreciation for their remarkable achievements.
The Louisiana Young Heroes program, presented by LPB, honors students who have overcome personal challenges and made significant contributions to their schools and communities. This year’s honorees continue that proud tradition, each demonstrating extraordinary character and a deep commitment to making a difference.
“It was truly a privilege and a pleasure to serve these remarkable young leaders,” said Galen Dunbar, DEMCO Chief Member Services Officer. “Their stories remind us that our youth are key to a brighter future, and their energy, courage, and determination continue to uplift and motivate us all.”
DEMCO is proud to support youth initiatives across its service area. Visit DEMCO.org/Youth-Programs to learn more.
